Cavan County Development Plan, incorporating a Local Area Plan for Cavan Town 2022-2028
Welcome to the Cavan County Development Plan webpage for Cavan County Council. The Cavan County Development Plan, incorporating a Local Area Plan for Cavan Town, 2022-2028 was adopted at a Special Council Meeting on Monday, 30 May 2022. The Plan came into effect on Monday, 11 July 2022.
The plan has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Sections 11 and 12 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). It is accompanied by an Environmental Report, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and an Appropriate Assessment, pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive.
The Plan took effect from 11th July 2022
This means that all decisions made by the Planning Authority will be made in line with the policies and objectives of this new plan from this date.
