Electric Vehicle Charging Points

A number of electric car charge points exist on public roads in the Cavan County Council functional area as follows:

Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District

Cavan Town (two locations)
- Dublin Road (between Hard Boiled Egg and Breffni Park)
- Off Farnham Street (Courthouse Carpark)

Ballyjamesduff Municipal District

Ballyjamesduff (one location)
- Dublin Street (at entrance to The Grove)

Cootehill-Bailieborough Municipal District

Bailieborough (two locations)
- Main Street (beside Pets and Vets)
- Tesco Carpark (at shop entrance)

Locations of all the electric car charge points in the County can be obtained from the ESB website Charge Point Map

Parking is FREE for electric vehicles whilst charging in these bays. Only vehicles that are actively charging will be permitted to use the vehicle recharging bays. It is an offence to park a vehicle in a charging bay for any other purposed than charging said vehicles and it could lead to a fixed charged parking fine being issued by our Traffic Wardens.
