Upcoming Electoral Event - Presidential Election
Mr. James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, Heritage and Local Government has made an order appointing Friday 24th October 2025 as polling day for the Presidential election. Every person who is an Irish citizen and is included in the register of electors is entitled to vote at the Presidential election on the 24th October.
Deadlines
To ensure you do not miss the deadline it is advisable to submit your application well in advance of the deadline in case your local authority requires any further information from you.
Postal/Special voting arrangements
Applications for special and postal voting arrangements must be received by your local authority no later than Monday 29th September. Forms are available below. Your application must be submitted by post. Please ensure you have sufficient time to have the relevant certification completed before sending.

Registration/update of details
Applications to register or change name or address details must be received by your local authority no later than Tuesday 7th October and may be submitted online below or by downloading an application form and returning by post. Your PPSN and Date of Birth are required for any request for action using this website. Applications to update your nationality details must be submitted by post.
