Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from 8am on Tuesday 28th October 2025 to 8am on Monday 3rd November 2025for the purposes of junction tightening and active travel works on the L-2012 Road in Cavan Town.

Roads closed

L-2012-0, Cavan (locally known as Manager’s Road) from its junction with the R-188-1 / R-188-2 (Cootehill Road) in the townland of Drumalee to its junction with the R-212-2 (Cathedral Road) in the townland of Latt.

Alternative Route

Northwestbound – From Junction R-188-2 / R-188-1 / L-2034-0 / L-2012-0 (Drumalee Cross) travel southwestwards along Cootehill Road via R-188-1 & R-188-0 to Junction R-188-0 / R-212-3, then northwards along Cathedral Road via R-212-3 & R-212-2 to Junction R-212-2 / L-2012-0. End of detour.
Southeastbound – From Junction R-212-2 / L-2012-0 travel southwards along Cathedral Road via R-212-2 & R-212-3 to Junction R-212-3 / R-188-0, then northeastwards along Cootehill Road via R-188-0 & R-188-1 to Junction R-188-1 / R-188-2 / L-2034-0 / L-2012-0 (Drumalee Cross). End of Detour.

Access for Local Residents shall be facilitated.
