Public Notice - Cavan Motor Tax Office Commercial Vehicles Taxation
From the 14th of October Cavan Motor Tax Office can only accept applications for taxation of commercial vehicles by Appointment Only each Friday.
Motor Tax Opening Hours
Monday to Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 3.30pm.
An appointment is NOT required from Monday to Thursday.

Postal Applications will have a 4 day turnaround time from receipt of applications and can be posted to Cavan Motor Tax Office.
Documentation Needed In Order To Process Your Application
NOTE: If all required documentation is not provided, your application will be returned as incomplete.
- Vehicles over 1524kgs or imported must be weighed at an authorised weighbridge.
- A Full Insurance Certificate, confirming the vehicle is covered under commercial or business cover.
- Vehicle Registration Certificate, i.e. your vehicle log book
- Form RF111A Goods Declaration Form stamped at a Garda Station.
- One of the following forms:
(a) RF111 if the weights have changed
(b) RF100A if the weights are the same and
(c) RF100 if never taxed before in Ireland
Note: Vehicles >3500 kgs do not require RF111A
