Emergency Road Closure - Ballinagh Road - Moynehall

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder on Monday, 12 August to Wednesday, 14 August 2024, from 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Roads closed:

R-935-0 Ballinagh Road, Cavan from its junction with the N-55-5 / N-55-6 (Cavan Motors Roundabout) in the townland of Moynehall to its junction with the L-6503-0 (Ballyjamesduff Road) in the townland of Moynehall.

Alternative Route:

Northbound – From Junction R-935-0 / N-55-5 / N-55-6 (Cavan Motors Roundabout) travel northeast via N-55-6 Cavan By-pass to Junction N-55-6 / R-212-4 / N-3-11 / N-3-10 (Dublin Road Roundabout), then westwards along R-212-4 Dublin Road to Junction R-212-4 / R-212-3 / R-935-0 (Tractamotors Junction), then southeastwards along R-935-0 Ballinagh Road to Junction R-935-0 / L-6503-0 (Ballyjamesduff Road). End of detour.
Southbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to southbound traffic.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
