Road Works Speed Limit Order No. 23/27R
Construction has commenced on the N55 Corduff to South of Killydoon Realignment Scheme, Section B. In the interest of safety of road users, Cavan County Council is implementing the following speed limits at the following locations:
- 80km/h zone for a distance of 600m from a point 10m south of the of the junction with the L-25144 in the townland of Ballytrust, to a point 620m north of the junction with the L-6591 in the townland of Ballytrust.
- 60km/h zone for a distance of 3,886m from a point 620m north of the junction with the L-6591 in the townland of Ballytrust to a point 821m north of the junction with the L-6560 in the townland of Mullaghoran.
- 80km/h zone for a distance of 600m from a point 821m north of the junction with the L-6560 in the townland of Mullaghoran to a point 221m north of the junction with the L-6560 in the townland of Mullaghoran.
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and in the interest of Public Safety has made an order entitled Road Works Speed Limit Order No. 23/27R.
This Road Works Speed Limit will be in effect from Monday, 6 March 2023. The speed limit will only be in force when the signs are in place (duration of the works will be 24 months approx.)
Road users are advised to please comply with all speed limit signs that will be in place at the above locations whilst the works are being implemented.
