Notice under Section 17(3) (a) of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990 (as amended)

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Local Authority”), in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 17 of the Derelict Sites Act 1990, as amended, has made a Vesting Order, under the said Act, in relation to the derelict site (Ref. DS19053) described hereunder.

The lands referred to is a derelict site within the meaning of the Derelict Sites Act 1990, as amended (hereinafter called ‘the Act’)

A copy of the order and map of the said derelict site has been deposited at the Planning reception of Cavan County Council, Planning Section, Planning Department, Johnston Centre, Farnham Street, Cavan Town, H12 C9K1 during its public opening hours Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

The Local Authority in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 17 of the Act, hereby order that the land described hereunder shall, on 8th day of April 2022, vest in the Local Authority in fee simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind.

Description of Land

The derelict site (reference number DS19053) is an unoccupied two storey, detached residential unit located at, Fair Green Hill, Cavan Town, County Cavan.
