Lifting of Do Not Consume Notice - Barraghy /Farmoyle
Following a consultation with the Health Service Executive – North East, Cavan County Council is lifting the do no consume notice issued to all water users served by the Barraghy / Farmoyle Group Water Supply Scheme with immediate effect. The water is now safe for use and can be used for drinking and food preparation.
If your internal/domestic water system has been in general use throughout the period since 11th November 2022 you may now use your water supply as normal.
As a final precautionary measure consumers on the Barraghy/Farmoyle Group Water Scheme whose water systems have not been in use since 11th November 2022 should ensure that they flush out their systems by running their hot and cold taps for a period of at least thirty minutes before resuming normal use of the water supply.
