Cavan Heritage podcast series ‘Where We Belong’ was a big hit when it first aired back in 2021, attracting listenership from all over the world - it even reached number 9 in the Austrian History podcast charts! Now, back for its second season, there is a whole host of exciting new episodes for listeners to dive into.
Commissioned by Cavan Heritage Office and directed by Alan Bradley, the series takes in a wide range of topics including a fascinating conversation with award-winning actress Derbhle Crotty in the Town Hall Cavan, an intimate chat with Hughie and Bridie from Crosserlough on their childhood memories of the infamous ‘Big Snow of ’47’, insights into Cavan’s Wetlands with ornithologist Heather Bothwell, a thrilling visit to St. Mogue’s Island packed with mythology and folklore, and even a quick stop off at a Buddhist meditation centre tucked away in Bawnboy.
With episodes focused on the arts, nature, history, and culture there really is something for everyone.
