Emergency Road Closure - R-207, Dowra

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Thursday 18th June to Friday 19th June and again from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June and again from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July, 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Road closed

• R-207 Dowra to Blacklion Road from its junction with the L-5004-0 in the townland of Gubaveeny to its junction with the N-16-2 in the townland of Mullaghahy.  

Alternative Route

• Southbound – From Junction R-207-0 / N-16-2 travel eastwards along the N-16-2 to Junction N-16-2 / L-1000-1, then eastwards along the L-1000-1 to Junction L-1000-1 / R-206-4 / R-206-3, then southwards along the R-206-3, R-206-2, R-206-1 & R-206-0 to Junction R-206-0 / R-200-2 (Glangevlin), then westwards along the R-200-2, R-200-1 & R-200-0 to Junction R-200-0 / R-207-2 (Dowra), then northwards along the R-207-2 & R-207-1 to Junction R-207-1 / L-5004-0. End of detour.
• Northbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to northbound traffic.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.

Local access will be accommodated where practicable.
